Jannik Steimle concludes the day as our best rider.

Stage 4 of the Tour de Luxembourg wasn’t just the longest individual time trials in recent history at the race, but also – at 26.1 kilometers – one of the longest stages against the clock of the season. The course included two climbs in the first part, which seriously tested the riders, with a strong headwind in the last eight kilometers further complicated things.

Silver medalist at the ITT National Championships in June, Jannik Steimle put in a solid display on the roads around Remich, averaging 44.4km/h and stopping the clock in 34:13, which made him our top finisher Friday afternoon. In the general classification, Tim Declercq made quite a spectacular jump, of more than ten places, and lies in the top 20 with one day to go.

Running from Mersch to Luxembourg, stage 5 of the race comes with a hilly terrain comprising lots of climbs, four of which are classified, and an uphill finish that could bring more changes to the overall ranking.
