Biography

Ethan’s journey in cycling began with BMX racing before switching to road and track, in the latter making Great Britain’s pursuit team for the 2020 Olympics and taking a silver medal in the 1km TT at the European Championships. But the young Brit showed a lot of potential also on the road, taking several impressive results in the process – a victory on stage 4 of last year’s Tour de l’Avenir and a top 10 at the World Championships in the U23 individual time trial – which have landed him a contract with the most successful team in the world.

“I’m really excited to be a member of this fantastic squad. Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl has a proven track record when it comes to helping young riders, so I couldn’t think of a better place to start my professional road career. There is also an in-depth knowledge of sprinting here, which is where I want to specialize, and I am really looking forward to pulling on this iconic jersey, getting to work, learning as much as I can and see where that takes me”, said Ethan ahead of his first pro season.
